Push-ups to help you prep for future quizzes:
Ever wondered why the original Lego bricks came in bright yellow, red and blue colours? It was inspired by that Dutch painter, yes that one… Oh what’s his name - the one with the blocks..
There are many things that Lord Mountbatten can be associated with - but did you know he was also associated with murder? Well in the literal sense - Agatha Christie has hinted that the idea of (⚠️ spoiler alert for a 95 year-old book ⚠️) a narrator being the murderer was inspired by letters sent to her by Lord Mountbatten.
Anil Kumble inspired Aaron Sorkin. Well kind of... Aaron Sorkin did name an episode of his show Sports Night after Anil Kumble’s incredible 10 wicket haul. The plotline of the episode “Ten Wickets” is that the fictional news agency in the show has to cover the story of an incredibly rare feat taking place - but nobody knows cricket in the USA.
Things we’re reading / watching / listening to:
Slow-burn season 3 - A podcast that covers the hip hop rivalry between the East Coast and the West Coast dominated by the larger than life personalities of Notorious B.I.G and Tupac Shakur. Recommended listening, even for rap noobs.
Raat Akeli Hai - A crime-drama film about a small-town cop who is summoned to investigate the death of a politician. #FunFact - This is the fourth time Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Radhika Apte have worked together after Sacred Games, Manjhi: The Mountain Man, and Badlapur.
